It was the Mid Autumn Festival of the National Day. The heavy equipment manufactured by our company: 380000kN swivel spherical hinge bearing, was successfully installed on the Taichengxi Grand Bridge of the newly-built Fuzhou Xiamen Railway and applied to national construction.
The main bridge structure of Taichengxi is designed with the swivel system of (95+125) m asymmetric single tower cable-stayed bridge. The main bridge is 221.3m long and 17.2m wide. The cable tower is a reinforced concrete structure. The tower column is 60m high above the bridge deck. The tower column is rectangular solid section. The swivel system is set at the bottom of the main tower pier. Ball hinges are set between the upper and lower turntables. Its swivel structure uses 380000kN swivel ball hinge bearings independently designed and manufactured by our company.
The spherical hinge support is divided into upper and lower parts, with spherical projection diameter φ 6m, overall shape is diameter φ 7m, the shape is large, and its own weight is particularly rare. The structural form is very different from the general spherical hinge structure, and there are many difficulties in design, production, and later transportation and installation.
The technical department, quality control department, production department, planning department, procurement department, finished products department and other departments of our company have worked together to hold meetings and discuss the scheme many times in advance. Under the premise of ensuring the work progress and quality, we have optimized the design and production of the spherical hinge: such as the butt welding method of the spherical hinge panel, the sealing plate grouting structure of the lower spherical hinge, the inlaying method of the sliding plate, the overturning method of the spherical hinge, the split transportation of the upper and lower spherical hinges, etc., for the later production and processing Transportation provides support for the feasibility scheme.
The spherical hinge support is installed at the bottom of the main tower, the slideway and the lower spherical hinge are connected with the lower cushion cap, and the support foot and the upper spherical hinge are connected with the upper rotary table. The polished surface of the upper spherical hinge is fitted with the lower spherical hinge PTFE slide plate to form a friction pair. The support foot is suspended above the slide way and rotates with the upper rotary table to play the role of a safety leg. Then, the external traction equipment provides power to complete the bridge rotation.
During the installation process, our company's personnel actively cooperated with the project construction progress, stuck to the construction site at all times, provided a practical and feasible installation plan, and completed the installation of swivel spherical hinge bearings according to the principle of "one step, one step inspection". Among them, the difficulty of this construction is the installation and positioning of the lower spherical hinge. Since the dead weight of the lower spherical hinge is 52 tons, and the pier cushion cap is 20 m * 23 m in size, the lower spherical hinge needs to be lifted to the center of the cushion cap, and minor adjustments are also required. The arm of the crane to swing will increase accordingly. Our company's personnel should communicate with the project in advance, contact the crane technician in advance to survey the site, and order a suitable large tonnage crane, Determine the specific time of crane mobilization to ensure the installation progress. In addition, the work that needs to be completed in two days is shortened to one day, which reduces the use time of large tonnage cranes and thus reduces the installation cost.
With the completion of the horizontal adjustment of the upper spherical joint, the spherical joint bearing will be successfully installed on October 12, 2020.
